What Customers Say About Black & Decker CO1200 Grand Openings II Extra-Tall Electric Can Opener, White:

I bought this can opener in April, but by October it would not open any cans without getting jammed and stopping.
This can opener is virtually impossible to position on the cutter. Also, forget extra-tall, ha, it will only hold cans an ant would consider tall. We are using a manual can opener until we get a chance to replace it.
In two different spots this is stated in the description to have a dishwasher safe cutter. The manual clearly states NOTHING is dishwasher safe on this can opener. MANUAL HAND WASHING REQUIRED. I am returning it to Amazon.
My P38-John Wayne C-Ration can opener that I got in the Marine Corps 45+ years ago, is only about 1 1/2" in length, has a larger cutting blade and works better and faster. It is extremely difficult to stick a can in this opener in the proper position to have the very small cutting blade actually cut through the can's lid. We were able to open the can on the first try maybe 1 out of 15 attempts. This Black & Decker can opener was a waste of money and is going into the trash. I'd rather be using one of the other hand powered can openers we've have.
It was the only one they had. If I could give this "0" stars, I would. I needed a can opener quick and bought this one from K-Mart. My husband and I both fuss at it everytime we have to use it. As soon as I can replace it, it will go in the trash.
